yeah definitely and they're damn light, so i'm going to be considering these for my full suspension build later on!

how do you like the race kings vs. small blocks, and how do they compare? i'm wondering if i should run them myself, but have no idea about them.

thanks, exactly the answers i was looking for! this is for building up a sub-28 fully though, so i'm undecided on rims. would the 719s be comparable to the 100g heavier 521s because the 719s use maxtal? my friend has the 521s and they're holding up really well to his continuous threes, not all of which are landed clean.

Compared to 5.1D's- not as soft, but laterally not as strong. Much lighter though, I would say 719's are better.
521's- Much lighter, similar strength and stiffness. 521's suck.
721's- Not nearly as strong, but considerably lighter. I spin hard on 719s and they hold up OK, I just have to true them more often. As a keeper wheelset, I'd go 721's (strength over weight) but if you like light shit, or you never pivot/under-rotate 3's, 719's will do you fine. Keep your tension up!)

If leverage rate throughout stroke is the same, then yeah lol

Small bump is spring pressure, Bottom out is reservoir pressure/volume relationship. Totally different. It can be done. It might not feel like a 6 inch trail bike but it can happen.

The commencal meta 4x would be another to look at

Gonna kill someone in there.

Double is a great option, it can be setup for trail no problem

The Double was great (5'7"). I felt comfortable on it the first time I hopped on. It's definitely not plush suspension and if you set the shock with too little air you will blow through and bottom out. The 2010 RP23 may be better though. The bike is what it is. Simply takes a bit of the hit away. Have you considered the SX? That has a better suspension design and may be what you are after.

yeah i probably should, but i have this beater bike for times when i need to lock up. my "commuting" is 90% going to mark's house or going through the drive-thru of mcdonalds to get a burger, hah, I never lock my stp, and dont bring a lock.
